Flag Stickers for Boats, Cars & Caravans
We stock a wide range of self-adhesive vinyl flag stickers — from standard country flags and UK regional emblems to marine-specific designs and custom orders. All are printed on laminated vinyl, which means they’re weatherproof, UV-resistant and built to last outdoors rather than fade and peel after a season.
What flag stickers do we stock?
Our range covers most countries you’re likely to need, plus a good selection of UK regional flags — including Scottish islands, Welsh regions and English counties that are harder to find elsewhere. We also stock specialist marine flags such as the Blue Ensign, Red Ensign and various yacht club burgees, as well as national maritime flags used for courtesy flags when sailing abroad.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the catalogue, we can produce a custom flag sticker to order. Send us a reference image and the size you need and we’ll quote from there.
What sizes are available?
Standard flag stickers are available in small (suitable for laptops, lockers and equipment cases) through to larger sizes for transoms, hull panels, caravans and van sides. If you need a specific size that isn’t listed, get in touch — most flags can be cut to a custom dimension without any issue.
For boat use specifically, consider where the sticker will sit. A small country flag on a cabin side needs to be readable from a reasonable distance, so it’s worth going slightly larger than you think. For transom use, we generally recommend at least 150–200mm wide for a clean result.
What are they made from?
Our flag stickers are printed on polymeric vinyl using UV-stable inks, then laminated with a clear protective overlay. The laminate is what makes them durable — it seals the printed surface against UV fading, moisture, fuel splashes and mild abrasion. A well-applied laminated sticker on a fibreglass or painted surface will typically last 4–6 years outdoors without significant fading.
They’re supplied with a paper backing and are straightforward to apply using the standard dry method: clean the surface thoroughly, peel back a section of backing, position and press from the centre out. For larger stickers on curved surfaces, the wet method (a few drops of washing-up liquid in water sprayed on the surface) gives you more time to reposition before the adhesive grabs.
Where can I use flag stickers?
The most common uses we see are transom flags on yachts and motorboats, side panels on narrowboats and canal cruisers, and rear or side panels on caravans and motorhomes. They also work well on outboard covers, dinghy transoms, equipment cases, trailer boards and vehicle windows.
For window application, make sure you’re applying to a flat, clean pane rather than a curved or textured surface — the adhesive needs good contact across the whole sticker to prevent edge lifting over time.
Can I get a flag that isn’t in the catalogue?
Yes. If your country, region or emblem isn’t listed, we can produce it as a custom order. We’ll need a clear reference image (a PNG or vector file is ideal, though a good photo will often do) and your required size. Custom flag stickers are produced on the same laminated vinyl as our standard range, with the same lead time of 3–5 working days.
We’ve produced flags for regional identities, island communities, historic nations and club designs that simply aren’t available off the shelf anywhere else. If it can be printed and cut, we can make it.
