Custom Shape Stickers

Custom Shape Stickers

If you need a sticker cut to a specific shape — your logo, a custom outline, or any design that isn’t simply a rectangle — we can produce it using our print and cut machine. From a single one-off to a run of 1,000, the process is the same: send us your artwork, we’ll confirm it’s print-ready, produce the stickers and dispatch them to you.

What is a custom shape sticker?

A custom shape sticker (sometimes called a die-cut or contour-cut sticker) is printed and then cut to follow the exact outline of the design, rather than being cut to a standard square or rectangle. The result is a sticker with no white border — the edge of the vinyl is the edge of the design.

This works well for logos, crests, boat name panels with decorative borders, flag shapes, animal silhouettes or any artwork where the shape is part of the visual. It gives a cleaner, more professional result than a standard rectangular sticker, especially on curved or painted surfaces.

What can I get made?

Almost anything. Popular requests include club and marina logos, boat club burgees, sponsor stickers, custom crest decals, shaped warning labels and decorative panels. If you have a design in mind, send it over and we’ll let you know if it’s achievable.

The main constraint is detail at the cut line — very fine points or thin internal bridges can be fragile on smaller stickers. We’ll flag anything like that and suggest a slight modification if needed. For most designs, it’s straightforward.

What file do I need to send?

A vector file is ideal — AI, EPS, SVG or PDF with outlines. These give us a clean, scaleable cut path. If you only have a high-resolution PNG or JPEG (minimum 300dpi at the intended print size), we can usually work with that too, though vector is always better.

If your artwork is still on a napkin, we can help with that as well — just get in touch and describe what you’re after. Simple logos and text-based designs are easy to recreate from a rough sketch or photo.

What material are they printed on?

We use a quality cast or calendered vinyl depending on the application, printed with UV-stable inks and finished with a protective laminate. The laminate adds durability and resistance to UV fading, fuel, water and mild abrasion — important for anything going on a boat or vehicle.

For exterior use on a hull, transom or topside, the laminated print will typically last 4–6 years in normal conditions. For sheltered locations (inside a cabin, on equipment cases, on trailer panels), longer.

Quantities and pricing

We can produce from a single sticker upwards. Unit cost drops significantly with quantity, so if you think you’ll need more in future, it’s usually worth ordering a small run rather than a one-off. We’ll quote based on your design, size and quantity — there’s no fixed price list for custom work because every job is different.

Turnaround is typically 3–5 working days from artwork approval, depending on the run size.

How to order

Contact us with the following and we’ll come back to you with a quote:

  • Your artwork file (or a description if you don’t have one yet)
  • The size you need (overall width or height)
  • Quantity
  • Where the sticker will be used (hull, cabin, equipment, promotional)

If you’re not sure about any of the above, just send what you have — we’ll ask if we need more detail.
